Creating a Smart Hardware component

Top | Previous | Next

The Woodwork for Inventor software contains mechanisms that allow you to automatically set the Contact Patch and other connection parameters between the furniture panels to be joined. These connection parameters can be passed to the iLogic rules of the Smart Hardware component, which control the logic of this component. This logic depends on the function and design of the component and is programmable using iLogic. Also, the Woodwork for Inventor Hardware Attach mechanism makes sure that the hardware component is placed in the centre of the contact area. In this way, the user, having acquired a basic knowledge of the rules for creating smart hardware components and knowing iLogic, can create such components and use them in their own construction process.
