Body conversion |
Top | Previous | Next |
Bodies are automatically assigned to a type when using the skeleton dressup functions. This way, the first time a general purpose body is tapped, the skeleton dressup command automatically converts it into a skeleton body. Panels that are created instantly become panel bodies. The type of body determines its behavior during skeleton dressup. It is useful for the designer to convert the designed bodies from one type to another. Appropriate commands are provided for this.
The command is accessible

Important. If a Part has at least one body of Skeleton or Panel type, it cannot be assigned a Woodwork for Inventor plug-in material. If you want to convert this part into a Woodwork for Inventor plug-in part, then you need to convert all the bodies into general purpose solid bodies. On the other hand, if the part already has a Woodwork for Inventor plug-in material assigned to it, then you cannot convert the bodies to skeletons or panels. To continue working on such a part as a skeleton, you must first remove the Woodwork for Inventor plug-in material assigned to it. This is done using the eraser function in the Material Assignment command. Work can then continue in the skeleton dressup environment.
