Printing

Shape nesting results may be printed. The selected sheet or selected piece instance may be printed or exported.

Nesting Print Ribbon

	Sheet	The image of the selected sheet is printed according to the provided printing settings.
	Piece	The selected piece instance is printed according to the provided printing settings.
	Instance by Picking	Special printing mode which allows printing part instance labels by selecting the instances on the raw material sheet using the cursor. The printed instance is shown in a different colour. This way, the user can print a label after a label clearly seeing its location in terms of the sheet. The content of the label is exported using the BOM template, which is specified in the printing settings.
	Sheet	Saves the image of the selected sheet in the form of an image file. Image parameters are taken from the printing settings.
	Instance	Saves the image of the selected piece instance as an image file. Image parameters are taken from the printing settings.

Save To

Allows setting the path where the image file should be saved. A specific path may be indicated or the file may be saved in the active directory, from which the given shape nesting file was opened..

Action if file with same name already exist

Instructions on what to do if the file has the same name as an existing file. The user can request to:

▪	Skip save - keep the original file and do not save the new file.

▪	Overwrite existing file - save over the existing file.

▪	Save file with count sufix - save the file and add a count suffix.

Canvas Size

Sets the image space in pixels and defines the margin size.

Allows to create a file name template. The template is created using a combination of keywords. The item type is considered to be “sheet”.

Extension

Setting the format of exported image. Two formats are currently available:

BOM templates may be created for shape nesting and used to generate the desired BOMs. The user can use certain keywords in the templates to request that the graphical image of the whole sheet or individual piece instance be exported to the desired BOM cell. The image to be generated is configured in this branch.

Use report for label printing

A standard MS Excel template is used for printing labels. It is created in accordance with the instructions provided in the section about generating BOMs.

▪	The template which prints one piece instance BOM must be indicated in the file selection field.

▪	Select the sheet containing the description of the label template from the drop down list.
