Panel edge dressup |
Top | Previous | Next |
This command is used to dress the sides of the panel with edges. Do not confuse this command with the Edge Banding command. Here, the edge is designed as a part and not as a band of material that is applied by the machine during the technological process. This edge body can be modeled like any other structural body by introducing various shape changes. For example, to join such parts, to round the edges, etc.
The command is accessible
Skeleton Dress Up –> Edge
Select Panel
|
Waits for you to specify the panel body you want to dress with edges. |
Single Tangent |
Allows you to specify the method for selecting the panel side faces.
"Single" - allows you to select individual surfaces. "Tangent" - includes the specified surface and all surfaces tangent to the selected surface.
One special feature to be aware of. If a set of tangent surfaces is assembled and edge generation is applied to it, the command will produce a single edge body for all tangent surfaces. If the surfaces are assembled by clicking individual surfaces, a separate body will be produced for each surface in the set.

Select All Edges
|
Automatically assembles all side surfaces of the panel body. |
Deselect All Edges
|
Clears the set of side surfaces. |
Outside Inside
|
Allows you to specify how the edge body will be generated with respect to the part, either sunk into the part or added. In the case of sinking, the part’s body is automatically reduced by the thickness of the edge |

Allows to specify the thickness of the edge body.
