In order to start nesting design, each part must have CAM technology created. It can be created automatically or manually. CAM technology is created automatically as follows:
Open the assembly for which CAM technologies have to be created. Run the command.
Woodwork Design->Technology->Auto
Run the automatic technology generation command. Create a set of components and select the options that generate CAM technologies for shape nesting. They are the following:
Use CNC equipment by Material Settings |
A technology will be created for each component of the set according to the material of the component. The specified priority process will be taken into account (Workcentre or Nesting Routing). If the components are made of materials which do not have a defined configuration for such processing, CAM technology will not be created for such components.

Use Nesting CNC equipment by Material Settings |
A technology will be created for each component of the set according to the material of the component. The priority process is not taken into account; the technology will be created for the nesting processing defined for the material. If the components are made of materials which do not have a defined configuration for such processing, CAM technology will not be created for such components.

Selecting a specific CNC machine |
CAM technology will be created for each component of the set according to the selected CNC machine. If the machine has a defined nesting process configuration, CAM technology for shape nesting may be created.

If necessary, any component can be opened separately and the automatically generated technology can be edited individually without opening CAM module.
