Design
1. | An operative editor for multi-layer materials has been introduced. The user can now quickly and visually create a multi-layer material and apply it to the design. |
2. | Multi-layer material can now be added to a component, and the material does not need to be added to the Woodwork for Inventor material database. |
3. | Simplified Material Replacement Dialog Interface. It is now easier to navigate the Material Replacement window. |
4. | Material Replacement now allows any replacement configuration to be recorded to the component(s) and, if necessary, to lock the components from the replacement. |
5. | Now, in one Material Replacement operation, it is possible to perform Material Replacement for both Woodwork for Inventor materials and purchased components. |
6. | The Material Replacement procedure now has its own API and can be programmed to access user replacement sources. This is especially useful for integration with ERP systems. |
7. | Hole Note can now be set in Hardware type components. During the Sculpt operation, these notes will be automatically transferred to the body of the part. |
8. | It is now possible, if necessary, to determine the direction in which parts dimensions will be calculated. (Set which side is parts length and width). |
9. | In the Material Editor, the ability to save material and color abbreviations has been introduced for coating entries, which can then be used to derive cover markings in drawings. |
10. | The Possibility to execute the Hardware Sculpt command associatively has been introduced, which means that changing the position of the hardware does not require re-applying the Sculpt command. |
11. | A new option is to set the system operation so that the cover Veneer material covers on the sides of the part are treated as edge bands and all Pre-Mill allowance settings are applied. |
12. | When inserting iBox, it is now possible to specify the name of the subdirectory where the iBox copy is to be pasted. |
BOM
1. | An opportunity to check keywords has been created. The user can now call up a special data column "Keyword preview" in the BOM generator. A special input field then appears where you can enter any keyword. The Keyword preview column will be filled with values for each specification node displayed in the BOM generator that are extracted by the entered keyword. |
2. | Improved assistance system. Now user can call up a detailed help information for each keyword about what function it performs. |
3. | Added a Table.DataDescription keyword with a conditional operator. It allows to describe different data display templates in the table, depending on which Model Data entry is interpreted. For example, a component – assembly, may have its own representation and a part component may have a different representation. |
4. | A new keyword (Item.Sizes.PartByGrain.<dimension direction>} has emerged that allows you to obtain the dimensions of the part according to the direction of the texture. |
5. | It is now not necessary to transfer the top assembly component to the PHANTOM type to get the {BOM.MaterialsSummaryByProduct} specification. |
6. | The BOM generator now responds to the BOM type setting of the occurrence in the assembly. An instance with a Reference type setting is not included in the specification. |
7. | Pre-Mill allowance calculation changed. Now the dimensions of the workpiece are affected only by the straight edges and coinciding with the edge of the workpiece surrounding Box. |
8. | A new keyword, {Item.QuantitySum}, has been introduced to show the amount of a component in a subassembly, depending on how many times the parent subassembly is mentioned in the higher assembly. |
9. | A keyword has been entered to allow the output of BAR and QR codes. |
10. | A keyword has been entered to output the component drawing Thumbnail. |
11. | Changed the behavior of old keywords that display information about edge banding. Only coatings that are of the Coincident type are now displayed, i.e. coincides with the edge of the surrounding box. |
12. | A new type of keywords has been introduced that allows you to derive information about covers depending on the contact of the coating with the edges of the surrounding box (Coinsident, Tangent, Point). |
13. | The keyword {Table.RowIndex} has been entered, which allows you to number Excel BOM rows in the output table. |
14. | A keyword has been entered that allows access to abbreviated cover labeling. Later, this marking is convenient to use in the drawings, when it is necessary to link the entries in the table of edge banding materials with the marking of the edges in the projection of the part. |
AutoPlot
1. | It is possible to automatically output the specification generated by Woodwork for Inventor to the drawing in table form. To do this, it is sufficient to create the desired template of the output specification and configure the selected drawing template accordingly. |
CAM
1. | A new operation "Sizing By Saw" has been introduced, which allows you to size the part with a saw. |
2. | Significantly improved Pocket operation algorithm. Flat surface treatment, which has islands, is now also possible. In pocket calculations, it is possible to enable / disable hole ignoring in pocket calculations. |
3. | Introduced the ability to ignore tool length in CAM module calculations. |
NESTING (Available from 14th January, 2021)
1. Preliminary Nesting replaced and improved by Nesting LT. It is available in the Woodwork for Inventor (with CAM) configuration.
2. The 3rd most powerful software configurations launched - Woodwork for Inventor (with Nesting).
VaultPro
1. | Vault Pro. The Commit Items command now correctly indicates which link to the files in the created entry is the main one. So now the main ones are *. iam or *.ipt components. |
