Tree counter options

Change values as for ordinal files - changes derived files names as if he would be a regular file

Apply custom rules - changes derived files names by adding prefix and suffix

 

 

Column settings

Allows you to select which columns must be displayed. This settings affects columns used in other menu windows. for example in column to column tab you can operate with columns only currently selected columns in Assembly Copier options

 

 

Library, reuse, preview settings

 

This tab describes how system must react when opened project contains library files.

 

Search for drawings and presentations when opening assembly file option allow you to copy not only parts and assemblies but also their drawings and presentations

 

Load library and content center files loads mentioned files and make possible to select two below options: Reuse library files by default and Reuse content center files.

 

Reuse library files by default select this option to reuse library files by default, if you modify library file changes will appears in all  assemblies in which this files are used. If you want to copy all files in one location for example to easy transferring from one PC to another or to have separated copy for design experiments then deselect this option. If this checkbox are uncheck library components is not reused, an participate in copying process like non library components, after copying  to new directory they become non-library components.

 

Reuse content center files select this option to reuse content center files by default, if you modify content center file changes will appears in all  assemblies in which this files are used. If you want to copy all files in one location for example to easy transferring from one PC to another or to have separated copy then deselect this option.

 

 

Note

Note: Non library files are any files you can edit for a project, including the files stored in your workspace and workgroup search paths.

Library files are read-only component files that you can reference, but not edit

Autodesk Inventor parts library is a collection of related data files that you reference but usually don't modify, such as a released data set, a set of commonly used components, iPart factory parts, or standard parts. Libraries are located in a folder with a unique name separate from other data files. A single library can be used across any number of products.
