Woodwork for Inventor v16 supports the following versions of Autodesk Inventor - 2024, 2025 and 2026.

 

LICENSING

1.Subscription licensing module implemented.

 

DESIGN

1.New feature to identify duplicate parts in an assembly. This feature significantly reduces design time and helps identify previously created components.

2.The Build Structure mechanism has been redesigned to support Edge Band rounding, enabling the automatic creation of part models with rounded edge banding bodies. This makes the model even more realistic. To achieve this, the material grouping tool (Veneer and Edge Band parts) has been modified.

3.The iBox creation, insertion, and editing mechanisms have been enhanced to allow direct control of the iBox configuration through the user-created iLogic form dialog.

4.In Woodwork for Inventor, it is now possible to assign materials to Sheet products in an assembly document. Previously, you had to open the part in a separate document.

5.A new way to manage material replacement configurations has been implemented. Each new configuration now has a time stamp and existing configurations can be viewed in one window, filtered and removed in one operation.

6.The iBox and Smart Hardware component libraries can now be hosted in the project space, which is necessary when working with Autodesk Vault projects.

7.The old BOM mechanism has been removed. From now on, only the new mechanism – BOMapp – is available.  
 

CAM

1.Application of Mill Styles has been implemented in Pocket operation. Now the final contour can be processed with several tools. Approach tools may be used for open pockets.

2.A new mechanism for interpreting splines in BiArc arcs has been implemented. This allows for smoother tool trajectories.

3.Arc ramp mill tool descent and withdrawal by cutting into the material has been implemented.

 

NESTING

1.A new cutting optimisation (Nesting) mechanism has been implemented. Control tools have been updated.

 

AUTOPLOT

1.A smart projection mechanism has been implemented that automatically creates the necessary projection of the part, taking into account the shape of the part and the position of the holes.
