1.Go to software web-page and click Free Trial. Fill out a request form in the pop-up window to download the trial version. 2.After you have completed the request form to download the trial version, click “Get my free Trial” and you will receive a software download link to your email address. 3.Click the download link and save the installation file (*.exe) on your computer. 4.Before you install the add-on installation file (*.exe), you must close Autodesk Inventor and MS Office programs on your computer. 5.Following the steps in the installation guide, install the add-on installation file (*.exe). 6.After the installation process is complete, restart Autodesk Inventor and set up a project. 7.Once the Autodesk Inventor Project is chosen, you will see a Woodwork Design tab in the menu bar.
8.Now you have a Woodwork for Inventor trial version installed on your computer. 9.The trial version allows for a free 30 day evaluation of the complete feature set (except the editing of the material data base). 10.When the 30 day trial period expires, the user can keep using the software with some limitations on available features: ▪skeleton dress up is locked down, ▪automated generation of mortises and tenons is locked down, ▪use of prototypes and assembly copying is locked down, ▪replacement of materials is locked down; ▪specifications (BOM) of materials and assemblies are locked down, ▪CNC preparation is locked down. ▪Data transfer to Autodesk Vault software is locked down. ▪Nesting is locked down.
11.To use a full feature set of Woodwork for Inventor , you must purchase a subscription which is available for 1,2 or 3 years. Meanwhile perpetual licensing is still on, but it is available only for current Woodwork for inventor customers |
1.To ensure smooth activation of the software, your computer must have an internet connection. 2.Open Autodesk Inventor and click “Select” in the appearing Woodwork for Inventor software license management table (topic - Go with Serial Number).
Note The license management table may also be accessed by clicking "About" on the “Woodwork Design” menu bar.
3.In the appearing software license activation request window, enter the Serial Number that you have received from your software dealer as well as your email address and click “Submit Request”.
4.The software stand-alone license will be generated immediately (in the event of force majeure – within 24 hours). You will be notified of its creation to your email address provided in the license activation request window. 5.After you have been notified of the creation of a stand-alone license file via email, restart Autodesk Inventor. 6.In the appearing Woodwork for Inventor software license management table, your license Expiration Date status will be automatically changed to “Permanent” or "Home". It depends on what type of license you bought.
7.The automatic installation of the Woodwork for Inventor software stand-alone license has been completed successfully.
NOTE!!! If the automatic installation of the stand-alone license has failed, you should place this license on your computer manually.

1.Run Autodesk Inventor and in the appearing Woodwork for Inventor software license management table, click "I want to release licenses on current computer".

Note. The license management table may also be accessed by clicking “License information” on the “Woodwork Design” menu bar.
2.In the appearing Woodwork for Inventor software license deactivation management table click “Yes”.
3.In the appearing Woodwork for Inventor software license deactivation confirmation table click “OK”.
4.You will be notified of successful license deactivation to your email address provided in the license activation request window.
5.In the appearing Woodwork for Inventor software license management table, your license Serial Number is empty.
6.Now you can activate Woodwork for Inventor software by using the same Serial Number on other machine.

1. An internet connection is required for smooth activation of the software. 2. If you are the account manager of a customer who has purchased a subscription to Woodwork for Inventor, please log in to your account here. 3. Then click on the Woodwork for Inventor link on the left-hand side. 4. The window that opens displays your existing Woodwork for Inventor subscription, where you need to add a user to the workspace.
Note. When adding a user, you must enter the email address of their existing Autodesk account.
5. If the user added to the subscription workspace is not the manager of the Woodwork for Inventor account, that person must also confirm their addition to the subscription in their personal Woodwork for Inventor account under “My personal seats”.
6. After completing the above steps, the person assigned to the subscription workspace now needs to run Autodesk Inventor, click the “Select” button in the Go with Subscription section of the license management window and log in to the Woodwork for Inventor environment with their Autodesk account.
7. You can now see your subscription information in the Subscription section of the license management window, which means that you can enjoy the full functionality of Woodwork for Inventor software.

1. To disconnect a user from the Woodwork for Inventor subscription, all you need to do is for the Woodwork for Inventor account manager to log in to that account, click on the Woodwork for Inventor link on the left-hand side, and in the window that appears, click on “Remove user” on the right-hand side next to the user you want to remove.
