Views - in this tab, you can adjust the output view projections of the component.

Auto Plot Views

The dialog box has two separate areas used for adjusting view projections for different types of components.

Assembly Views setup area.
Part Views setup area.

1.  Setting output view projections for the assembly.

2.  Setting the assembly orientation in the base view. The base view is oriented according to the model View Cube. The following are available options for view orientation:

Assembly Views

3.  Color options for the placement of view projections:

Hidden Line Hidden lines visible.
Hidden Line Removed Hidden lines removed.
Shaded Shaded.

4.  Setting assembly scale. The user can:

a. Select scale from the standard scale row.

b. Enter desired scale.

c. Select the Auto option. This option will automatically adjust the scale of the output component so that it would fit in the output area specified in the tab (Output Area & Bundle). It is to be noted that all ordered component view projections are fitted in the output area.

5.  Setting output view projections for the part.

6.  Setting the orientation of the part in the base view. Woodwork for Inventor searches for the largest flat face in the part which is considered to be the Main Face. The part is rotated so that it’s main face or opposite face are pointed toward the viewer. The selection depends on which of these faces have a greater number of holes. A greater number of holes are pointed toward the viewer. The user can additionally select how the part should be rotated in the view projection. There are two available options:

W4INV along Longest edge  The part is rotated so that the longest straight edge of the part lies horizontally in the base view.
W4INV Along Grain direction The part is rotated so that the grain direction vector of the part lies horizontally in the base view.

7.  Color options for output views:

Hidden Line Hidden lines visible.
Hidden Line Removed Hidden lines removed.
Shaded Shaded.

8. Part scale setting. Scale setting options are as wide as in the case of the assembly.

9.  This parameter is used when more than one component view is requested and the area requested for component plotting is divided into sub-areas required for view output. This parameter defines the gap between view sub-areas.
